KraftMaid cabinetry is built of furniture-grade engineered wood for superior resistance to warping and cupping with changing humidity levels as seasons change. Standard construction includes matching Viraguard exteriors with Natural Birch look Viraguard interiors.

Frame Assembly
KraftMaid frames are joined with steel screws and industrial adhesive. All inside frame edges are profiled to achieve custom detailing. KraftMaid "eases" these edges for a real furniture look and feel. Outside edges are sharp 90 degrees for uniform cabinet-to-cabinet installations.

Drawers
KraftMaid drawers are 3/4''-thick, dovetail construction for sturdy durability. Drawer floors are Viraguard-protected and easy to clean. The pre-drilled drawer front allows for side-to-side and top-to-bottom drawer head adjustment. A screwdriver is all that is required for perfect drawer head alignment.

Drawer Suspension Systems
KraftMaid's standard drawer suspension is an undermounted, 75 lb.-capacity, easy-gliding system with easy adjustment features. Optional Full-Extension Dynamic Drawer Suspension is available. Similar to the standard system in both performance and quality, it has the additional convenience of extending the opening to the depth of the drawer.

Shelves
Rather than settle for flimsy shelving that needs additional support, Kraftmaid features 3/4" thick shelves in all wall, base and tall cabinets, which is a full 20% to 50% thicker than industry standards. KraftMaid's extra-thick 3/4" material increases shelf load capacity while reducing sagging in wide-shelf applications. All cabinetry has adjustable shelving. Both wall and base cabinet shelves are full depth. For a custom look, KraftMaid offers Satin Chrome shelf rests. Sleek and contemporary, they are ideal for open cabinetry, such as entertainment units, or cabinetry with glass doors.

Cabinet Door Styles
Whether solid wood or laminate, KraftMaid offers an extensive selection of door style and finishes. Yet another quality detail is the door hinges. The hinges are concealed and easily adjustable vertically and horizontally. The type of hinge that each style receives is related to the amount that the door style overlays the cabinet frame. Hinges also vary within a door style, depending on the function of the door on a particular cabinet, such as a lazy susan or easy reach cabinet. As a final touch, KraftMaid doors feature PermaSet bumpers. These "eversoft," permanently installed door bumpers remain pliable and firmly in place for quiet closing, every time.
